Harry Potter and Albus Dumbledore
When Harry Potter was a one year old boy, he survived an attack by the dark wizard Lord Voldemort after he murdered Harry Potter’s parents and it was Dumbledore who arranged Harry Potter’s shifting to his muggle relatives, Dursleys. It was again Dumbledore who arranged Harry Potter’s arrival at the Hogwarts through Hagrid.
Dumbledore was very well known for his never-ending support of Harry Potter as he believed that it was only Harry Potter who could kill the dark lord. For this purpose, Albus Dumbledore guided him through difficult times and also provided him with powerful protection. Dumbledore also gave additional training to Harry Potter in order to be strong enough to face the dark forces of Lord Voldemort.
Dumbledore also showed his memories to Harry Potter which mainly comprised of the childhood memories of Lord Voldemort. The purpose of showing these memories was to make Harry Potter ready to face the Dark Lord. Dumbledore also entrusted Harry Potter to retrieve a crucial and final memory from Horace Slughorn regarding Lord Voldemort’s knowledge of Horcruxes.
Despite the great age difference, Harry Potter and Albus Dumbledore forged a bond comparable to that between two brothers. Dumbledore was the only person in front of whom Harry Potter felt like a family and could even show his emotions – happy and sad.
Dumbledore became a source of continuous guidance when he was alive and even after his death. The role of Albus Dumbledore in finding and destroying the horcruxes was unmatched. It was Albus Dumbledore who told Harry Potter most of the things about his parents. Albus Dumbledore was considered to be the most powerful wizard of his time.
