Rubeus Hagrid bio: 

Hagrid was born to a wizard father and a giantess mother, Fridwulfa, who abandoned the family when he was young. The half-giant went on to Hogwarts where he cultivated his affection for wild creatures. In his third year at Hogwarts, Hagrid was framed by Tom Riddle for opening the Chamber of Secrets which killed Moaning Myrtle. As a result, Hagrid was expelled from Hogwarts and his wand was broken in half.

Dumbledore came to Hagrid’s rescue and he was able to stay on at Hogwarts as the gamekeeper, living in a hut with his huge dog, Fang. Hagrid eventually became the Care of Magical Creatures teacher and was fiercely loyal to Harry Potter and his friends. He also brought his giant half-brother Grawp to live in the Forbidden Forest and the pair took part in the Battle of Hogwarts.
