Tom Felton returns to Hogwarts at Wizarding World
Tom Felton, who plays Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter films, couldn’t wait to escape from London’s cold weather and get back to Wizarding World of Harry Potter for a holiday late last week. “Taking off! Good bye cold country,” Tom Felton wrote on Twitter as he headed across the pond to Orlando. On his return visit to Universal’s Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Tom Felton enjoyed sipping some butterbeer with friends, visited the Hogwarts castle, took in some rides and posed with the lovely ladies of Beauxbatons.
During the grand opening celebration of Wizarding World last summer, Tom Felton attended the ceremonies and toured the magical theme park along with his Harry Potter co-stars Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint. Tom Felton expressed his enthusiasm about the park and said he felt it would be a success since “it’s a combination of technology and subtlety, asking you to discover things rather than shoving them in your face.”
After getting his fill of butterbeer and roller coasters at Wizarding World, Tom Felton went on to spend some quality time in Miami with his longtime girlfriend, Jade Olivia, whom he met on the set of Harry Potter where she worked as a stunt coordinator’s assistant. In a fun and interesting twist, Jade Olivia will be playing the part of Draco Malfoy’s wife, Astoria Greengrass, in the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 epilogue scene.
As Harry Potter’s on-screen saga comes to a close, Tom Felton will probably be a frequent visitor to the Orlando area to recapture a little Hogwarts magic. “If I ever get a bit homesick, I have somewhere to come now,” Felton told People during the Wizarding World’s grand opening. It’s always nice to be able to go home, especially if it’s a multi-million dollar theme park!
