Professor McGonagall leads the way in new Harry Potter still, plus second TV spot airs

May 23rd, 2011 by Jill Amos

Professor Minerva McGonagall (Maggie Smith) takes center stage in this new Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 still that was published as part of Entertainment Weekly’s summer movie issue. The usually well-coifed professor looks battle-worn and weary as she leads the way outside of the crumbling Great Hall of Hogwarts.

The Weasley family (minus a Weasley twin!) is close behind, looking grim and slightly shocked, as well as Fleur and other Hogwarts students who all look worse for the wear. Who else can you spot in the newest Harry Potter still? See the bigger pic on the next page!

Also, a new TV trailer was shown during ABC Family’s Harry Potter marathon, although without any new footage for fans. But the minute-long TV spot marks Warner Bros’ ramping up of the campaign for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, which hits the big screen on July 15, less than two months away!

New Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 poster!

May 23rd, 2011 by Jill Amos

The summer premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 is coming up fast, and Warner Bros. just released another tidbit to heighten the anticipation. This latest poster from the final film is a close-up shot of a gritty, disheveled Harry Potter, played by Daniel Radcliffe. While the first official poster for Deathly Hallows Part 2 was an intense image of Voldemort and the boy wizard in an epic stare-down, this second poster captures a different feel of a weary but determined-looking Potter.

The new Harry Potter poster debuted on the official Harry Potter film’s Twitter page, with the caption:

“I never wanted any of you to die for me.” – Harry

Anyone else get the chills? Check out a bigger image on the next page!

And stay tuned for more Harry Potter posters soon! According to the UK Harry Potter Facebook page, the new Harry Potter character posters will debut this week!
