Just how many stars do we give Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in our movie review?
“Deathly Hallows is on a different cinematic scale, in a league all by itself,” says SheKnows Entertainment Editor, Joel Amos. He goes on to say that Hogwarts is nowhere on anyone’s mind as the darkness that was threatening on the horizon is now upon Harry and his friends. In a particularly effective scene, Hermione (Emma Watson) uses her powers to erase all evidence of her existence in her family home — including photos and her parents’ memories.
When Harry Potter was a one year old boy, he survived an attack by the dark wizard Lord Voldemort after he murdered Harry Potter’s parents and it was Dumbledore who arranged Harry Potter’s shifting to his muggle relatives, Dursleys. It was again Dumbledore who arranged Harry Potter’s arrival at the Hogwarts through Hagrid.
Let’s face it. After “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows,” most, if not all of us, prepared ourselves for the end of the epic series. Knowing that we would no longer be able to enjoy the magical feeling of Hogwarts ever again, most of us resorted to scanning through our old books, recognizing the most important details the story had to offer. We felt a sort of Harry heartbreak, scared that the story would never continue again. This, though, is only half true.
