Harry Potter makes magic at the box office!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 continues to conjure up magic at the box office. After first breaking the records for midnight ticket sales with $43.5 million and one-day ticket sales on Friday with $92.1 million, Harry Potter has done it again!

Now, Harry Potter and friends walked away from their opening weekend with more records to boast about, both domestically and around the globe. Breaking the previous record for best opening weekend held by 2008′s The Dark Knight with $158.4 million, Harry Potter raked in $169.3 million in the U.S. alone.

Daniel Radcliffe and Tom Felton visit Regis & Kelly

Between his nightly gigs dancing on stage in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Daniel Radcliffe found time to visit with some popular morning shows in NYC to chat all things Harry Potter.

The energetic 21-year-old appeared on both the Today show and Live with Regis and Kelly where he discussed everything from his birthday to Broadway. Regis and Kelly even broke out an old clip from Daniel Radcliffe’s very first appearance on their show for Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Watch video clips below!

Harry Potter’s midnight madness!

As the hour struck midnight, Harry Potter fans everywhere held their breaths to see how Harry Potter and his friends would fare on the big screen in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. Midnight showings around the globe sold out in record numbers.

In North America alone, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 raked in a whopping $43.5 million in midnight and early morning ticket sales! This number blows the previous record-holder out of the water — The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, which set a record in 2010 with $30 million.

With seven Harry Potter films bringing in more than $6 billion at the global box office, the final film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, has faced an immense amount of pressure to deliver. Does it hold up to the fans’ enormous expectations?

Rupert Grint talks Ron and redheads

Rupert Grint has brought a new level of fame for redheads and takes pride in not only being a ginger off screen but onscreen as well in his years portraying Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter films.

“I’ve always been quite a proud ginger,” Rupert said during a recent press day full of interviews in New York. “Having ginger hair is not the coolest thing really. It’s nice that Ron is quite a respected ginger and Prince Harry as well. Yeah, I get a lot of support from the ginger community.”

While the emotions have been quite strong for the 22-year-old actor as he promotes the last Harry Potter film, he says he’s finally coming to terms with the end even though filming finished last summer.

Emma Watson on Harry Potter, Hermione, fame and her future

What did Emma Watson have to say about fame and her years on the set of Harry Potter? It’s no surprise that after playing the brainy and beautiful Hermione Granger since the age of nine, Emma is recognized the world over and finds that she has lots in common with the young witch.

“I’m very heady in the same way she is, kind of constantly thinking three or four moves ahead. I try and intellectualize a lot, which she does well, obviously. She’s very determined. I am as well,” Emma Watson said recently during a press day in New York.

Tom Felton rocks The Late Show with David Letterman

After Emma Watson cast a spell on The Late Show with David Letterman, Tom Felton had his turn to sprinkle a little magic of his own at the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City. On Letterman, the 23-year-old star shared the stage with Regis Philbin and barely got a word in! See the video below…

Tom Felton, who embodies Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter films, has had a whirlwind couple of days along with the rest of the cast. After last week’s London premiere, the cast flew stateside for the New York premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.

To the delight of the hungry crowd, Felton played the part of pizza delivery guy when he passed out pies to fans who had camped out the night before the premiere.

Snape, Snape, Severus Snape!

As the clock winds down to the midnight premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, fans are showing their love for the oft-misunderstood character of Severus Snape. Warner Bros. just released a new video featurette all about Snape — see below!

And not only did Alan Rickman’s Snape win MTV’s Harry Potter World Cup as the most favorite Harry Potter character of all time, he’s been getting loads of praise from his Harry Potter co-stars. One of his biggest fans? The boy wizard himself, played by Daniel Radcliffe.
